The proposal of the Bavarian History Museum gives a physical presence to the layered history of the museum's collection. Located in Regensburg, Germany it is placed on the bank of the Donau River, which acts as a pedestrian promenade and attracts an important flow of people into the site. The design of the museum is generated from a series of stripes that speak to the layers of history while internally organizing the museum exhibitions.
